Tim Barber and Juliet Forte met the old-fashioned way - on a dating app. Tim loves to say "I've found a lot of weird stuff on the internet, but Juliet is my favorite."

Their story started on Dec 14, 2022 with a "hello." Juliet was at Disney with her family for a week but would make time to talk to Tim late at night, catching up on the days' events and adventures she had. Tim loves how family oriented she is and that there is no better Auntie out there. When Juliet returned home, Tim brought Juliet to sing karaoke at LaLa's in St Pete, which might seem like a risky choice for a first date to the untrained eye, but Tim knew what he was doing. It wasn't long until he wowed her and the crowd with renditions of "Tennessee Whiskey" by Chris Stapleton, and "Faithfully" by Journey. From that point, Tim was known as the "Karaoke Guy."

Several months later, on April 8, 2023, Juliet invited Tim over to celebrate their favorite faux-holiday, REX MANNING DAY (from the cult classic, Empire Records). And while on a Sugar High, Tim and Juliet made things official and confessed their love for one another.

They spent the next year blending their families. Luckily for them, Tim's children (Jake and Nate) became instant buds with Juliet's niece (Alannah) and nephew (Mateo). A couple rounds of manhunt later, and we were one big happy family.

THE PROPOSAL

In June 2024, Tim and Juliet embarked on the trip of a lifetime - a one week cruise through Alaska - a trip that Juliet had been attempting to take for 4 years (thanks, Covid). While in Juneau, Tim arranged for a helicopter tour (Juliet's first) to Mendenhall Glacier. Little did Juliet know, this was a private helicopter excursion - the other "tourist" onboard was actually the photographer that Tim hired to capture the proposal. The pilot, who was also "in on it", decided to take us to Herbert Glacier instead, which is on top of a mountain and can only be reached by helicopter. After drinking the glacier water, the still unsuspecting Juliet turned around to see Tim on one knee.
